Fotos von heute!

Me in front of the "Yard Birds" bird (click for history).

Michael with the Yard Bird.

Michael in front of the Upcoming Events (despite the fact that there are no upcoming events posted) sign at the Lewis County Mall ... Oh, and the ONLY store at the Lewis County Mall is Sears. The rest of the mall is home to Department of Social and Health Services office, the WorkFirst office and a "hawaiian" themed family hair salon.

"Heh, heh, heh ..." At the Goodwill.

A bear skin rug in an antique shop downtown.

Me posing in front of an old paint sign. It's a flattering photo, I know.

Adventures in Centralia

Michael and I saw "17 Again" last night. I thought it was going to be completely awful. However I loved it! It was so good and I can honestly say I liked it as much as I liked Twilight (read: a LOT).

Anyone familiar with Daniela Sea? She was in the L Word which I was obsessed with a few months ago and she played a transgendered Max. Anyway, Zac Efron looks like her. I highly recommend seeing "17 Again" especially if you like ridiculous movies.

Also, I gave Michael his birthday surprise which was not that Hello Kitty vomit clutch. It was this owl wall hanging! Also I made him a mix cd which was strange to make since I lost all my files recently and the mix is made up of songs I had downloaded in the last 48 hours. Here's the owl and the playlist:

Hello kitty threw up and this is what it looks like:

Ugh. I got so frustrated with tweaking my blog layout I went back to normal. I'm sure I'll try to change it up again soon though.

Yesterday was Michael's birthday and I didn't go up to Seattle to celebrate with him at his Russian themed party so today he is coming down to visit me. I'm going to show him a real good time. Like, take him to Wal-Mart and take pictures of him at midnight when it's officially his birthday. Oh wait, that's what he did for MY birthday. I'm pretty excited, and he should be too. Because I've been making his birthday present for months now. And this is it:

Just kidding. That's not his birthday present. That's the new clutch I've made! I'll post pictures of his present later though!

I have never wanted money more than right now ...

Okay, that's probably a lie. But I just checked gilt.com and there will be a Kiki de Montparnasse sale on Thursday 4/30.

If you haven't seen Kiki DM designs, I guarantee you will cream your jeans. So sexy! but SO expensive ):

Fringed Demi Mask with Handle $295

Wrap Teddy $325

tan hong ming is a lady killer

Ugh. This video made my cold black heart melt.

Still trying to get my layout worked out.

My neighbor has been using a saw or some other kind of loud powertool all day and it's getting annoying.

New things.

I'm tinkering with my blog layout. I found a cool site called http://btemplates.com/ for blogger layouts. I'm not fully satisfied with what I've come up with so far, but it's 4:45am and my eyes aren't really focusing anymore.

Oh! And I have a new poll up so vote!

Where have I been???

Stephanie asked me where I disappeared to. Thanks for missing me! Haha. My computer had been slowly dying; running slower, showing all kinds of symptoms of being hella virus-ridden until it crashed completely last night/this morning. I thought I would have to get back together with my Microsoft/SDET ex bf in order to get my computer back up and running. Fortunately though, my amazing dad reformatted it for me today. Which is nice because I don't have to do something dumb like move to Utah to get my computer fixed.

That was a joke anyway. I'm sure he would have helped me with my computer anyway, he's a nice guy. Despite the fact that every night before I fall asleep I have a quick flashback of him, leaving my apartment two years ago, to move to Japan ... I still have mostly fond feelings toward him. I think. Maybe.

I am re-installing/re-downloading all kinds of shit because I lost EVERYTHING. If anyone has any music suggestions for me to download I'd appreciate your input! I had amassed a decent collection of pirated movies and music and starting over is frustrating but kinda feels nice and fresh I guess too. :P

So Here are the almighty rules...

Respond: answer the questions on your blog.
Replace one question that you dislike with a question of your own invention, add one more question of your own.

Tag eight other people.

Well, I'm breaking the rule and I'm not going to tag anyone because I don't want anyone to feel pressured into doing this, but if you want to copy it and post it, please do! I love doing stuff like this and it'd be fun to read what other people's answers are (:

New Cards! & a new clutch.

It's been awhile since I've posted new cards. These are prints of cards that I've made using vintage illustrations, repurposed with new phrases (: I found these illustrations in a vintage book talking about teen issues. lol

"Comic sans walks into a bar, bartender says, 'we don't serve your type.'"

I took a quiz on facebook which was supposed to tell me which font I am. Before I got the results I jokingly chatted to a friend "If this quiz tells me I'm Comic Sans, I'm going to kill myself."

I'm sure you can guess what my result was.

"You are Comic Sans. You think of yourself as wacky, creative and a free spirit. You love Twilight and the word funky. You love all work events, especially the holiday party, and of course you love to read the company newsletter! Are you even aware of how irritating and tedious you are to your friends and co-workers?"

Well, I didn't kill myself, but I was a bit ashamed. I think Comic Sans is the ugliest font ever created.

I found this funny video about fonts I thought I'd share:

And uncrate.com tweeted about this today and I really want one now! A Nalgene flask!

survey says.

As I get older I'm realizing my taste in guys is getting broader. In all aspects, including age. Maybe I'm just getting desperate.

The other day my grandma called me to ask if I'd help her run some errands. While we were at the grocery store I passed this cute boy who waved at me and said "Hello." He had a really cute smile and for a second I had that awful insecure feeling where you think Oh crap! What if he was just smiling at me as a joke or out of pity? You know, the kind of insane insecurity that you have in middle school or high school. Or maybe that was just me. lol. Mostly I'm more confident than that, but not always. Slightly flustered, I smiled back and said "hi." But then when I got home and thought about it and I realized he's probably in high school. And then I felt kinda pervy. I hope he was 18 at least.

Here were the poll results for how many people you've boned. My vote was in the 11-25 range.

1-5 partners: 6 votes (40%)
6-10 partners: 2 votes (13%)
11-25 partners: 3 votes (20%)
26-50 partners: 2 votes (13%)
50+ partners: 1 vote(6%)
I'm still pure!: 1 vote (6%)

I've got nothing for the next poll. Any ideas? Please comment them.

I have been sewing a ridiculous watermelon clutch and watching season 2 of Flight of the Conchords. This is the funniest thing ever to me:

when i grow up, i wanna be famous, i wanna live in monticello, i wanna be in movies

Okay, the blog title is retarded, I admit. But insomniac lolita tagged me to post one picture that represents my personal interior design style. It's Monticello. The entire estate but especially the house, and especially the library.

If you hadn't realized yet, I am a huge nerd. The only thing I'd want different about the library (well besides the books in it) is to have one of those sliding ladders.

I'm tagging the following people to do the same (or even if I didn't tag you, it would be cool if you did it too). Post one picture that represents your personal interior design style!

scoman - i think a dude should do this too!
and suzanne

I am wondering why so few people are voting on this week's poll?! Are you shy? Are you ashamed? What's the deal? It's anonymous! It's okay to say! And even if you weren't, I'm not judging (: Vote, people!! This is obvs more important than the last US presidential election!

And as for my personal life ...

I went on an approximately 17 hour first date yesterday. It was interesting (: We'll see what happens.

Happy Easter! & I am my favorite subject to draw!

So today is Easter (it's 2am, so technically yes it's Easter already)! And for a second I was considering waking up and going to church with my parents. But then I remembered an incident a year or two ago when I went to their church for a Good Friday service. At the end of the service the pastor instructed the congregation to come up to the front and pound nails into this piece of wood symbolizing the cross. This was because "since all of us are sinners, we are all responsible for Jesus having to die on the cross and therefore we all pounded the nails into his hands and feet."

Bull. Shit! As people got up to form a line to go symbolically nail Jesus to a cross I walked out.

I honestly don't get the point of Jesus. I really don't. I'm not ready to consider myself agnostic because I really think God's there, but I can't even begin to understand what he's doing. So that's my Happy Easter message to you! lol

If you're spending time with family today, hope it's good times. I will hopefully be sedated with some pain pills before dinner and maybe I can sneak a glass of wine. I'm only hanging with old people tomorrow so no egg hunts ): Also, if you didn't get a chance to read my Easter Sex Gift Guide I posted awhile back, here's a link. (:

P1010134

This is another self portrait I did. It's not exactly what I was hoping for, but it's the first in a series of drawings I'll be doing so hopefully they'll be getting better. I'm copying the amazing Jason Sho Green.

I stayed up way too late. I had just cleaned my bedroom and it was tempting me to mess it up again by making art on the floor. These are self portraits--a bit racy, but I like racy. Hmm ... half naked Thursday?

The first three are on magazine pages. The last one is done on the inside of a diet coke case (:

survey says and me being vain and narcisisstic

The survey question was what kind of drink you'd prefer. Here's the breakdown.

Some type of liquor, straight up or on the rocks.
1 (5%)
A simple mixed drink like rum&coke or vodka tonic.
8 (42%)
Beer.
3 (15%)
A fruity girly drink with a cherry and/or pineapple garnish.
1 (5%)
Jager bomb.
1 (5%)
A nice wine.
4 (21%)
None of that sounds appealing/I don't drink.
1 (5%)

I was with most of y'all, my usual drink is a vodka tonic. I'm learning to like some beers though, and I like white wine. And I like chilled vodka or whiskey straight up too. What about you guys?

The next survey is going to be about sex so make sure you vote! (:

bikini

I mentioned a couple posts ago that the weather was fucking beautiful. It was actually warm enough to wear a bikini outside, and I caught up on some philosophy reading while soaking up some sun (: (Oh and regarding the soccer ball, I am in no way athletic, but sometimes I like to play with my dog in the back yard).

Chester French - Ciroc Star & Pizza Vending Machines in Italy???

I'm a bit of a fan of Chester French and I love this video for "She Loves Everybody" because the girl reminds me of myself a bit (:

Anyway, I read a myspace bulletin they posted about a new song available for free download. The song is called Ciroc Star. At first I didn't get it but say it outloud and it may make more sense. Ciroc & Roll? Haha. Anyway, Ciroc is my favorite vodka and I got a kick out of the song. What is your favorite vodka? Or what do you like if you don't like vodka? The last survey was about alcohol and I'm just curious what you guys like! But I will make a separate post about the survey results.

Second thing I wanted to talk about is this damn pizza vending machine. I can't decide how I feel about it. I mean, if it tastes good, I guess I would be really quite impressed. I just can't imagine food being prepared in a vending machine in three minutes for six bucks tasting good. If anyone ever gets to try this, please let me know how it is! lol

I miss this show so much.

Did anyone else catch Campus Ladies when it was on Oxygen? It's hilarious. The video above is some outtakes from the show. Maybe it's not funny to you, but I find it hialrious. Especially if you watch it til the end. It just gets more ridic. "How about anything you could find in a stateroom? Like perhaps a round window?" Here's the premise taken from the wikipedia entry for it:

The shopping trip of widow Joan Beamin (Carrie Aizley) and married Barri Martin (Christen Sussin) is cut short when Barri wastes a drink on her pants. When they go to Barri's house to get her some more pants, they find her husband Roger having an affair in their bedroom. The ladies end up in a bar and observe a group of collegians, ultimately deciding to enroll.

Once at UMW, the ladies meet Drew (Derek Carter) and Abdul (Amir Talai), two of their classmates who will be living in the room next to them. Drew is tall and blond and believes himself to be a ladies' man, but in actuality, is far from that. Abdul is an Iranian young man who refers to everyone as "Mister" and "Miss." The ladies also meet their roommate, a young woman named Paige (Miranda Kent), who is, at first, not thrilled to be sharing a room with Joan and Barri. There is also Guy (Jonah Hill), the dorm's resident adviser.

From there on, the ladies embark on the adventures of college life, complete with one-night stands, sexual experimentation, research papers, and football games.

I washed my car today!

Today and yesterday have been absolutely beautiful. The sun is out and it's warm and it's crazy that it was snowing last week. Wtf, weather? Quit playing games with my heart. Um anyway, here is a list I made.

Things I Associate with Sunny Days

Skipping class to drive to Golden Gardens by myself and tan
Barbecue!
Camping
Flip flops
Aimless drives with sunglasses on and the windows down
Madras. lol
My white keds
Nautical stuff
Giving my dog haircuts
Getting drunk way too early in the day and passing out before it's time to go out.

Wolverine leaked, Watchmen=meh, excited for Star Trek

So, apparently the new "X Men Origins: Wolverine" which doesn't come out until May 1 has been leaked. It's a big deal and Fox is panicking and bla bla bla. Maybe it will hurt the box office, but I'm pretty sure fans of the X Men series are still going to see it regardless of if they previewed a pirated incomplete version of it at home. It's fun seeing movies in theaters. It's just not the same at home. Unless you have a giant ass screening room. Then I guess it might be more fun at home.

What do you guys think about pirated movies/music/other media?

Last night, one of my friends convinced me to get out of the house, which was a good thing. We went to see "Watchmen" last night. We were the only people in the theater. I've never had that happen before, and honestly I was a bit bummed out it wasn't a date that I could've made out with, because the movie was long. Really, really long. I wasn't familiar with the storyline and therefore can't really criticize how close the movie stuck with the original, but it was kind of "meh." The second Silk Spectre who I kept thinking looked like Xena (yeah, the warrior princess) was sexy though. Malin Ã…kerman wears latex very well. And doesn't she kind of look like Xena???

And I got to see the Star Trek trailer. I am a bit out of touch with pop culture, so I didn't even know this was in the making til I saw the trailer, but it looks pretty good:

Yeah, I'm kind of a nerd.

oh, and to finish nerding out, you may enjoy knowing that I am now going to watch Highlander on hulu. Hope y'all are doing something cooler on your Friday nights than I am! Haha (:

"I bang the worst dudes"

There are so many great sites that I would like to contribute my life experiences to. passiveaggressivenotes.com has always been a fun one. I recently found fmylife.com and yesterday I discovered I bang the worst dudes (sorry, Mom).

The other day I was telling a friend from high school about this guy I went on a couple dates with (years ago). After hanging out a couple times, I was feeling pretty lukewarm about it all and told him I wasn't interested in dating him exclusively. He proceeded to threaten to hit me. Too bad we worked at the same place--work was a bit awkward after that. Anyway, I didn't even bang that dude and he reacted that badly.

My friend told me about his most recent date which gave me a good laugh. Maybe you'll think it's funny too (I didn't tell him I am putting this in my blog so hopefully he never finds out), "Another shining moment was my most recent date which ended in the "bro hug." If you are unfamiliar, the "bro hug" is where you hold their hand, pull them in and give them some pats on the back with the free hand."

I told him I didn't believe it, but he swore it was true.

p.s. I've been listening to Stephen Colbert's "I Am American and So Can You" and I fully agree with this little bit: Chivalry never goes out of style, guys. Open doors, pull out chairs, offer to undo your own belt.

Survey says ... & pills and love

Kimora Lee 5 (29%)
Mariah Carey 1 (5%)
Beyonce 3 (17%)
Elton John 5 (29%)
Courtney Love 3 (17%)

So for this last survey I asked who of these people you would you choose to decorate your house. I picked Elton John. I don't really know why. I just went with my gut (: As I so often do. Haha. I'm going to post a new poll so vote please k thx!

I have been sooo tired lately. I don't know what's causing it other than I was on my period. But that's done with now and I'm still tired.

Last night I took a pill cocktail of 1/2 vicodin 1/2 xanax 3 benadryl and my regular anti depressant (now I know what you're thinking, but I'm not tired just because of the pill cocktail because I don't normally take all that stuff). Anyway, I was feeling really cozy and happy and I forced myself to do 300 situps. Maybe it's just me, but I love to do situps right before I'm going to fall asleep, and sometimes I fall asleep between sets. But then afterwards I can just crawl into bed and pass out.

Anyway, last night the boy I'm pretty much in love with told me he loved me. And he's said it lots of times before, but for some reason either the way he said it or the way I heard it was different. Maybe it was just the pill cocktail. But it gave me that warm fuzzy love-y feeling and I'm still kind of riding that high (:

And since I'm in such a good mood, I leave you with this picture to enjoy (:

P.S. Be careful not to get punk'd today as it is April Fools Day (: oh and btw it's also Badtz Maru's bday for anyone else as nerdy as I am.

p.p.s. photobucket deleted the sexy brian atwood man so this image is courtesy of the homotgraphy blog which is pretty fucking hot shit.
