want!

I moved into a new apartment! My blog posting slowed to nothing recently, but I'd like to think part of it is due to my new, kinda big change. I moved in with best friend Michael, about a block away from where I used to live. Michael describes it well:

It's a recluse's dream!

It's built into the hill so it's basement level but has its own entry. It's dark (which Michael and I like) and it's old and full of weird, little nooks. Decorating my room in mostly grays. Hopefully pictures to post soon.

Anyway, onto the subject of this post which is want! Michael and I have been spending money on stuff for the new place which is fun, but kind of boring when it's things like paper towels, dish racks, and light bulbs. I've been doing altogether too much online droolshopping for things I don't need at all but WANT so bad.

Haven't worn heels for a looong time. These appeal to me:

Marni platform pumps in brown/grey.

Dolce Vita "Lana" platforms in grey.

Dolce Vita "Lidia" platform sandals in magenta.

And I've been wanting a giant summer tote. I'm not in love with this, but a little bit in want.

one from the archives ...

November 13th, 2007 in Tokyo:

what i ended up bringing with me what i ended up leaving behind:
mid calf brown boots, knee high black boots, purple ankle boots, black patent calfhair wedges, black ballet flats, running shoes, underwear, bras, fur coat, fur lined hooded jacket, magenta jacket, other assorted jackets and blazers, leggings, jeans, two short sleeved turtlenecks, trapeze tops, dresses, a painting that's a gift for the bf, a miniature broom and dustpan (housewarming gift), glass photo coasters (another housewarming gift), four hats, scarves, long black leather gloves, short black leather gloves, cream cashmere fingerless gloves, shampoo, *conditioner (still need to buy), face wash, body wash, hair products, hair accessories, makeup, straight iron, curling iron, ipod, books, magazines, airplane snacks, wallet, passport, sunglasses, contact lenses and cases, glasses, robe, nintendo ds, digital camera, rechargeable batteries + charger, camera cable, ds charger ....

plus ... had my hello kitty ash tray bought from ebay delivered to japan address.

what i've purchased here:
3 drawer acrylic organizer for makeup, hello kitty pajamas, weird sweatshirt, fake nails, rubber nail charms, sketch pad, two graph paper notebooks, 3 pens, 3 sable brushes, watercolors, f cup cookies (did not work), camouflage pet sling carrier for my dog, blue squeaky pig dog toy, panda parka for dog, yellow circle sunglasses, weird flip up sunglasses as gift for ...

... will continue to add to this list as i remember all the shit i've bought ...

still on my list: gifts for friends and fam, heel saddle shoes like the bally ones i wanted from nordstrom but $550 cheaper, more stuff for my dog

Reading this again makes me smile because packing for trips is always fun for me. It requires organizing which I enjoy and forming lists which I also enjoy. And it reminds me of having THINGS. Like clothes and gifts and accessories and it reminds me of when my biggest disappointment in my life was that my boyfriend wouldn't propose. I wonder how I would've felt if I knew today I would have an engagement ring from him. Sitting in a box on my dresser. And I'm single.

Etsy Sales

O hai.

You ever have those moments where you're doing something so pathetic that it's embarrassing even though no one else knows/notices? It's just embarrassing to yourself. Maybe that's called "shame." Hmm.

Anyway, I had one of those situations today. Earlier this week I FINALLY took my cowboy boots to get re-soled. I haven't worn them in years because there was a hole in the bottom of one of the soles and my foot would get wet ):

I'm ashamed to say, but honestly, I've pretty much been living off my credit cards for the last while, and I generally assume everywhere accepts cards. This shoe repair place is very Mom and Pop, and in fact, it's owned/run by a Korean couple so theoretically they COULD be my mom and pop. Haha. So when I walked in I noticed they only accept cash and checks. I don't carry checks around with me, and even if I did, it wouldn't have done me any good.

Long story short, I had to say I'd be right back, I needed to get some cash. And I spent an hour and a half driving around to the bank to withdraw $20 from my checking, to Safeway so I could buy a diet Coke and get $10 cash back ...

It was so bad I almost succumbed to retail therapy-ing on my way home. lol but I was able to resist.

Anyway, this leads me to my point which is I am conducting a sale in both my etsy stores, hoping to get some more traffic and hopefully some sales! Everything is 30% off or if you buy two items, take 50% off you're entire order (excluding shipping costs). You can order items from both my stores, too. So take a look, if you've been admiring my clutches, here's your chance to get one at 50% off which is a range of $25 - $60ish.

And if you're confused about how I set up the sale, just ask!

goodbye karl lagerfeld

I've been stressed out today, trying to sell stuff on eBay so I can clean out my closet. Thinking of things to sell on eBay I looked for my Zelda for DS game and found the case but when I opened it it was empty! ): I self-medicated/retail therapy'd at the MAC counter today (: I told one of my friends today that the only thing that could be better than Hello Kitty for MAC is if Michael Jackson was the face of Hello Kitty for MAC. Haha! I would die of joy.

I finally decided I must return the amazing Karl Lagerfeld jacket that I bought last month. It was a stupid purchase (so were the Elie Tahari boots I bought at the same time but I'm keeping those because I'm sorry but I can't turn down a 84% off retail deal (I bought them for $100 during a shoe sale bluefly had). I wore them today actually. I have some black Kenneth Cole riding boots that lace up the front and zip up on the inside but I figured I also needed a pair of tall black boots that zip up the back.

I went to Macy's today (ashamedly) and I saw a really cute bag. It's made by B. Makowsky which I just googled and I found out he (Bruce???) is married to Kathy Van Zeeland! I realize that no one else in the world probably cares. And anyone who does care already knew this fact, but I was kinda like wtf? about it.

Well photobucket is down for maintenance right now which is putting a halt on my eBaying activities and a damper on my mood so I'm going to go to bed. Gut nacht!
