want!

I moved into a new apartment! My blog posting slowed to nothing recently, but I'd like to think part of it is due to my new, kinda big change. I moved in with best friend Michael, about a block away from where I used to live. Michael describes it well:

It's a recluse's dream!

It's built into the hill so it's basement level but has its own entry. It's dark (which Michael and I like) and it's old and full of weird, little nooks. Decorating my room in mostly grays. Hopefully pictures to post soon.

Anyway, onto the subject of this post which is want! Michael and I have been spending money on stuff for the new place which is fun, but kind of boring when it's things like paper towels, dish racks, and light bulbs. I've been doing altogether too much online droolshopping for things I don't need at all but WANT so bad.

Haven't worn heels for a looong time. These appeal to me:

Marni platform pumps in brown/grey.

Dolce Vita "Lana" platforms in grey.

Dolce Vita "Lidia" platform sandals in magenta.

And I've been wanting a giant summer tote. I'm not in love with this, but a little bit in want.

Fakesgiving Picture Journal

As promised, here are some more photos of the Fakesgiving I had yesterday with my friends.

I unfortunately didn't get any good pics of David as Janeane Garofolo or Michael as Donatella Versace. He did turn into a topless mermaid later in the night though.

I'm sick and feel icky--congested, coughy and tired. Last night after everyone left from Fakesgiving I got a fever of 102.7 and became deliriously ill, made Peter go to the store to buy me medicine, and eventually passed out after I took a lukewarm shower to break my fever.

Today I felt a little better because I didn't have much of a fever and joined Michael and his family at Claim Jumper for Realsgiving. I had prime rib and it was delicious and I love Michael's mom because the way she talks, she makes everything sound like it's a really juicy secret.

After dinner, Michael and I went to see New Moon which was great.

Between all of this, I worked on the website and am proud to offer you some great deals. 20% off your entire purchase for Black Friday! Plus special markdowns on black items. See some of the sale items below and check it all out here: http://hallandhautes.com/

Pubic hair goes Public (NSFW)

I was talking to a friend the other day about pubic hair. I think it was in reference to our various experiences with nude models for life drawing classes. Anyway, I'm really curious to know what other people do with theirs. I think mostly women are the ones who shave and and wax and all that, but in this modern age, guys too are manscaping. I created a poll and I'd love it if you guys would participate.

Also, I found some great links to different pubic hair styles:

-my-pubic-hair.blogspot.com/

-http://www.pubicstyles.com/ - Answers some of the world's toughest questions about pubic hair such as "So why do my pubes look like they need ironing?"

-and a ridiculous article Cosmo did titled "What His Down-There Grooming Says"

Video of a pubic hair fashion show by Stefane Monzon. I highly recommend watching it. It will open up your eyes to the options you have available as to expressing yourself with your pubic hair.

"vlog"

So this morning I had an appointment with the lady doctor (ugh) and I got up at 7am (gross) and took a shower, got dressed, and hopped in my car to drive over there. My car wouldn't start. It wouldn't do anything. It didn't even try to start.

Ugh! So I ran back inside, woke my mom up and asked to borrow her car and then I went. The lady doctor appointment went stupidly, I'm not going to go into detail, but I was a little pissed off that I even got up for it this morning. I am definitely not a morning person.

Last night, Michael and I attempted to record some footage for a vlog, but as most of it was unusable (mainly us just giggling and talking about private jokes that were hilarious to us, but I'm sure obnoxious to anyone else) I cut it down to just a few minutes of some of my fave moments. I don't even think this is worth calling a vlog, it's really just several clips of us being ourselves: Dancing, name-dropping, and Michael standing on his hands.

Check it out:

Oh, also I made quite a haul at some thrift stores so I'll be posting pics soon and today I'm thinking I'll be making the giveaway clutch too. Maybz. If you're lucky.

via texts

Michael: Did I leave my corset and bootcut jeans at your house?

Me: Did I leave my gap sweatshirt and la looks gel in your car?

Michael: Yes. Yes you did. Ultra hold #8 right? The blue kind?

Me: Nah that must be yours. I use the mega hold. Its green.

Michael: Shit ok nvm then, I'll keep looking

Me: Thanks

Michael: Of course. Have you seen my midriff baring shirt? I'm getting a wedge haircut this weekend so need it asap

Me: Yeah i actually am wearing it right now. I thought it would go well with my full length ballerina skirt and my french twist.

Michael: Man ok. I was gonna wear it with my j crew original fit jeans but oh well

Me: Oh im sorry. Ill make it up to you and let you borrow my smiley face mini backpack. (:

2dollar2sday=TMI Thursday and visit to PDX

It's 4am. I just got home.

My friend Michael came down to visit again this week (his weekend is in the middle of the week). He left work early and one of his co-workers asked where he was going? When Michael told him, co-worker asked "Oh, are you going to Jake's??" which is a gay bar in Olympia. "It should be poppin'" he added because it was Cinco de Mayo.

Anyway, when Michael told me about what his co-worker said, he was surprised to learn that I had been there on multiple previous occasions. It's the most hetero gay bar I've ever been to but it's pretty fun, so we decided to check it out. It turned out that there were $2 beers and $2 well drinks. Michael was driving so he just had a beer and I only had two vodka tonics. However, sometimes ... and this is where the TMI part comes in ... certain vodkas have a laxative effect for me. I'm not really sure which vodkas it is, so it's a bit of a roulette game for me. Cinco de Mayo was not my lucky night. We came back home, I felt fine. I fell asleep but woke up about 4am and my stomach was aching terribly! I managed to fall back asleep for a bit but starting at around 5am I had to wake up and run to the bathroom about every half hour or so until noon or so when it had finally flushed out of my system.

Practically pooping your pants is always awkward but especially when you have guests at your house. Luckily, I got better eventually and once I felt it was safe to be a fair distance away from a toilet, we decided to head down to Portland to visit some friends.

We met up with Mandi and Jeremy and they were starving so we went to The Original Taco House. We got drinks and some food (I had a tequila sunrise because I thought it wise to stay away from the vodka) and it was a pretty decent place despite looking hella sketch.

On the drive home from TOTH we saw this old Santa Claus-looking man canoodling with a much younger, scantily clad woman in a skeezy parking lot behind a gentlemen's club. We were terribly rude and tried to "discreetly" take camera phone pictures but the car was moving a bit fast so we made Jeremy casually drive through the parking lot for a closer look.

Fotos von heute!

Me in front of the "Yard Birds" bird (click for history).

Michael with the Yard Bird.

Michael in front of the Upcoming Events (despite the fact that there are no upcoming events posted) sign at the Lewis County Mall ... Oh, and the ONLY store at the Lewis County Mall is Sears. The rest of the mall is home to Department of Social and Health Services office, the WorkFirst office and a "hawaiian" themed family hair salon.

"Heh, heh, heh ..." At the Goodwill.

A bear skin rug in an antique shop downtown.

Me posing in front of an old paint sign. It's a flattering photo, I know.

Adventures in Centralia

Michael and I saw "17 Again" last night. I thought it was going to be completely awful. However I loved it! It was so good and I can honestly say I liked it as much as I liked Twilight (read: a LOT).

Anyone familiar with Daniela Sea? She was in the L Word which I was obsessed with a few months ago and she played a transgendered Max. Anyway, Zac Efron looks like her. I highly recommend seeing "17 Again" especially if you like ridiculous movies.

Also, I gave Michael his birthday surprise which was not that Hello Kitty vomit clutch. It was this owl wall hanging! Also I made him a mix cd which was strange to make since I lost all my files recently and the mix is made up of songs I had downloaded in the last 48 hours. Here's the owl and the playlist:

Hello kitty threw up and this is what it looks like:

Ugh. I got so frustrated with tweaking my blog layout I went back to normal. I'm sure I'll try to change it up again soon though.

Yesterday was Michael's birthday and I didn't go up to Seattle to celebrate with him at his Russian themed party so today he is coming down to visit me. I'm going to show him a real good time. Like, take him to Wal-Mart and take pictures of him at midnight when it's officially his birthday. Oh wait, that's what he did for MY birthday. I'm pretty excited, and he should be too. Because I've been making his birthday present for months now. And this is it:

Just kidding. That's not his birthday present. That's the new clutch I've made! I'll post pictures of his present later though!
